Stolen Drum Corps Equipment Recovered

Stolen Drum Corps Equipment Trailer Recovered

COLUMBUS, OH, May 24, 2019 — The Columbus Saints Drum and Bugle Corps was notified by the Franklin County Sherrif’s Office on Wednesday, May 15 that the ensemble’s stolen trailer had been recovered and was impounded. The Corps took possession of the trailer on May 17th from the Columbus Police, shortly after talks with the insurance company on reimbursement had broken down.

Upon inspection, some items were stolen, and there was minor damage to the outside of the trailer. Many items that were recovered from the trailer had mold damage or were tarnished from exposure to outside elements.

The Columbus Saints Performing Arts, Inc would like to thank the local community, as well as the worldwide drum corps community, for their donations and support immediately after the theft. Their contributions enabled the ensemble to continue rehearsing and preparing for the season. Contributions went directly toward purchasing and rebuilding lost equipment. While the trailer has been found, there is still a lot of equipment to be replaced, and repaired.

The Corps would like to extend the opportunity to donors who like to request a return of their contribution. Please reach out to lcarlton@columbussaints.org for more information regarding donations or the recovery of equipment. If you’d like to help contribute to the repair of the recovered items, you can do so here
