Who Are The Columbus Saints?

The Columbus Saints Drum & Bugle Corps is an All-Age corps based in Columbus, Ohio. With a new member tuition of $800 for residents of Ohio and bordering states, it’s an affordable experience for the competitive marching arts with an emphasis on education, friendship and competition.

The Saints are a DCI All-Age Finalist and a 4-time DCA Finalist, the corps rehearses on Saturdays twice a month from December to March, three times in April, and on Saturdays and Sundays in May and June. The season includes two full weekend “move-ins” in central Ohio, a short 3-5 day tour, 3-4 regional competitions, multiple FloMarching livestreams, and the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis. Locations and dates are subject to change.

To Be A Saint…

Our open house event provide our instructional staff with a comprehensive view of your skills in music, marching, movement, and equipment. We also evaluate several other key factors that are essential for our corps, which is built on a weekend-only schedule:

  • Positive Attitude: A can-do attitude is crucial for making the most of our limited rehearsal time.
  • Strong Work Ethic: The ability to work efficiently and diligently during our weekend camps is vital for the corps’ success.
  • Commitment to Effort: We value members who are dedicated to putting in the necessary effort both during and between rehearsals.
  • Ability to Apply Instruction: We look for individuals who can quickly process feedback and apply it to their performance, helping us maximize our rehearsal weekends.
  • Positive Response to Feedback: The ability to accept and grow from constructive criticism is key to improving individually and as a corps.
  • Positive Member Interaction: Fostering a supportive and collaborative environment is a core part of our values.
  • Interview with Your Caption Head: This allows us to get to know you better and understand your goals and commitment to our program.
  • Commitment to the Weekend Schedule: Our program is designed for a weekend-only commitment, so we require members to attend all scheduled camps and competitions.

  • I love the family atmosphere. Each year you get a new brother/sister while still keeping in touch with old members. It is something to do in the summer. You get to experience new places with new people. I am mostly just happy to continue my love for playing music, and what’s better than doing with people you love.

  • After completing my undergrad, I realized I missed the marching band; the camaraderie and joy of performing. I’ve found both with the Saints, and I’m excited to be part of the family.

  • Without the Saints I would never have been able to gain the skill & experience to help me march WGI and more. It’s a family that challenges you while having fun, with a cost that allows anyone to participate.
