Building off the success of our Saints summer junior flag line we’re happy to announce a new junior winter program for ages 5-11. The summer program had so much interest that the Columbus Saints Winter Guard has decided to take it a step further. The children, ages 5-11 and under, will be performing a few 2020 Ohio Indoor Performance Association (OIPA) competitions in the exhibition class.
This is a great opportunity for children to develop skills in dance, color guard, and theater while developing self-confidence, making friends, and more! With no local guard programs targeting this age range, many young people feel left out and want to start performing at a young age because they look up to their older friends, siblings and family members who perform in ensembles.
The Columbus Saints Junior Flag Line is under the direction of Liz Steele and will be assisted by Saints Winter Guard members and alumni. The goal of this program is to educate our children in the community and show them a new art form they may not be used to, but will enjoy!
The Junior Flag Line will rehearse on Saturdays from 3-4 PM in Dublin, OH. The membership fees are $75 for the season which covers performance fees, t-shirt, and equipment. Email Guard Director Liz Steele to learn more and get started lsteele@columbussaints.org.
