2016 was an amazing year for the Columbus Saints. We won our first Drum Corps International SoundSport Gold Medal, founded our newest ensemble the Columbus Saints Winter Guard winning a Bronze Medal in State Championships and more! We’re growing and need talented candidates to join our administrative team!

Why should you volunteer with the Columbus Saints?

Since 2003, the Columbus Saints; formerly Saints Drumline Inc, have been providing affordable music education and performance opportunities for young people in Central Ohio. Building on the tradition of HBCU styled Drum lines and Community Focused Drum & Bugle Corps we’ve been able to serve so many uniting people in Central Ohio while providing affordable education and high energy performances.

The Saints has numerous volunteers whose dedication, time, and focus has helped our organization grow with an emphasis on sustainability while providing the best experience for our performers. If you have a few hours a month and would like to volunteer as part of our admin staff learn more below.

Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for staffing volunteer activities that include fitting and altering uniforms, and keeping them in good condition throughout the season; planning and preparing meals for Open House and selected camps and competitions including Finals; chaperoning out-of-state competitions; constructing props; recruiting trailer drivers; and working special events. Special events include SAINTS-shows and competitions, and similar fundraisers

Logistics Coordinator

The Saints are looking for a qualified volunteer to fill the position of Logistics Coordinator. The position will consist of managing the logistics of all of the Saints ensembles including Winter Guard, Drum & Bugle Corps, and SoundSport team.

Administrative Assistant

Primary responsibilities include taking notes at meetings; assisting directors in administrative tasks such as filing and submitting paperwork; managing local requests and schedules; while supporting the directors in regular corps administrative tasks and communications.

Equipment Assistants (Transportation & Storage)

The Saints are looking for (4) volunteers to fill the positions of Equipment Assistants. The position will consist of loading and transporting musical instruments , uniforms, and other items to rehearsals and performances in and around the Central Ohio area. Volunteers may  need to use their own vehicle (truck) as transportation, and will be reimbursed for mileage outside of the Columbus area.

Communications Assistant

Develops journalistic and social media content for the official Columbus Saints website (www.columbussaints.org), social media platforms, and various print publications. Content will be related to events in which the Saints participates, participating marching members, former marching members, families involved with the organization and other topics as assigned.
